The BelAire 85 x 25mm slats and 135 x 35mmlouvres are engineered to be stronger than most other options on the market. To demonstrate, we compared our 85 x 25mm BelAire slat with a popular 65 x 16mmslat. In our tests, the 25mm thick slat withstood 63kg of weight to achieve the same bend as the 16mm slat, which only bent with a total weight of 25.2kg. The BelAire Aluminium Slat almost withstood 80kg before giving way, while the 16mmslat gave in at just under 30kg.
What a difference! No wonder the BelAiresl at can span up to 3000mm between posts without requiring additional centre support.
